 Contrary to popular belief, Jesus devoted much of His ministry to feeding the poor and caring for the vulnerable, showing compassion for those in His society as well as in ours who are overlooked. In the Gospels, He fed multitudes with just a few loaves and fish, teaching that generosity and faith can multiply even the smallest offerings. He ate with outcasts, healed the sick, and uplifted the brokenhearted, embodying God’s love through humble service. His actions remind us that true discipleship is found in caring for others, especially the hungry, the weary, and the forgotten.

To live Christ mission its our duty to help those in our communities who are faced with uncertainty no matter what that uncertainty is.

What Are Food Banks Looking For?

(The rule is If you wouldn't eat most people won't)

• Canned Meats (Tuna, chicken)
• Canned Veggies (corn, potatoes, green beans, beans, tomatoes, tomato paste and sauces, etc.)
• Boxed Pasta (macaroni, noodle's, etc.)
• Fresh Veggies (in some cases - call to make sure)
• Breads (sandwich, hot dog, hamburger)
• Cereals (oat mill, grits, and boxed cereals)
• Flour, salt, pepper and desirable spices
